|In the theatre which I have followed for a very long time, aiming to document the most significant aspects both from a theatrical point of view and from its photographic transportation, you can find a lot of performances where water has been utilised, with more or less original meanings. |
In my opinion, the most significant “watershow” performances are “Caos”, by the Milanese company “Quelli di Grock” and “Waterwall”, by the company “Materiali Resistenti” of Bergamo. In the last scene of “Caos”, a great whirlpool, produced by the actors, spreads over the stage, assuming a very successful narrative value, that exceeds the extraordinary spectacular performance.
The photos published here are a little selection of the expressive and spectacular possibilities of water use in the theatre.
